A celebration and critique of the queer arts - Randy Magazine

By Adriena Lim 11 April 2014

If I had to pick a magazine, it would be RANDY,anytime.

RANDY “is a celebration and critique of the queer arts. It is trans-feminist and vag -centric because that is a perspective” they are supporting.

In this issue of RANDY, the feature on Janis Cole and Holly Dale totally caught me off guard. Their film subjects (notably in the 70s) were their friends: sex workers and entertainers, hanging out on the legendary Yonge Street, Toronto. Cole and Dale had a deep connection with those cast away from the mainstream society and it was reflected strongly in their films.
